Reel Amazing Cuisine at Fly-n-Fish
Fly n’ Fish’s Executive Chef is passionate and talented, Julio Hawkins is a Seattle native who has honed his culinary skills over the years, making honorable appearances on The Food Network, FOX Good Day LA, KTLA 5 Morning News, and CBS. Throughout his years of cooking, he has served an impressive clientele, including President H.W. Bush, Vice President Dan Quayle, Bill Gates, and The Prime Minister of Japan. Lemon zest is the most favored ingredient in Chef Julio’s kitchen, as it brightens up the taste, bringing clarity and focus to the palate with the responsible sustainable seafood served at his restaurant.
We enjoyed a flawless dining experience from start to finish, beginning with flavorful and thirst-quenching Spicy Margaritas. Before we started the dinner because they also have an oyster bar, we indulged in Kushi Oysters from Washington State and they were divine.
For the First Course, a cup of their “Award Winning” New England clam chowder which is honestly the best I have EVER had from the flavor to the texture to the finely chopped ingredients.
The Second Course was a vivacious Santa Barbara Field Greens Salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, red onions, and house-made croutons tossed with a roasted pear white balsamic vinaigrette.
Third course, a delectable Macadamia Lemon Crusted Halibut was one of the best dishes I have also EVER had; a wild-caught halibut from Iceland with a lemon macadamia nut crust, served on roasted fennel Grand Mariner orange fumet, wild rice medley & winter roasted vegetables. My guest indulged in a gorgeous Cioppino, Fresh Little Neck clams, Maine scallops, Alaskan king crab, green lip mussels, assorted finfish and calamari, white wine, roasted tomato basil broth, served with Italian herb parmesan toast which was to die for. Another enticing entrée option is a Miso Glazed Wild, Mexican Seabass Pan Roasted Wild Mexican Seabass, shiitake mushroom, bok choy truffle broth, over angel hair pasta. The entire menu is phenomenal.
Fourth course, Choice of Dessert, a couple of alluring options include Classic American Cheesecake, topped with macerated seasonal berries and merlot, port reduction, or Warm Banana Chocolate Bread Pudding, Vanilla bean ice cream, dark rum spice, and cinnamon glaze.
